Regulations (2004\nRevision).\n2.\nDefinition\n2.\nIn these regulations -\n\u201cLaw\u201d means the Marine Conservation Law (2003 Revision) and its\nsubordinate legislation;\n3.\nSeizure, disposal, etc., of marine life caught in contravention of Law\n3.\nA Fisheries Officer, in any place in which under section 5(4) he may lawfully\nsearch any person, may seize any marine life which he has reason to believe has\nbeen caught in the commission of an offence or which is possessed in contravention\nof the Law, and he may, in his discretion \u2014\n(a)\nreturn such marine life to its natural habitat;\n(b) retain it for production in evidence; or\n(c)\ndispose of it in any manner he deems expedient:\nProvided that, if such disposal is effected by way of sale, the net proceeds\nthereof shall be paid into the revenues of the Islands.\n\nRegulation 4\nMarine Conservation Regulations\n\nPage 6\nRevised as at 6th day of July, 2004\nc\n\n4.\nBadges, insignia and identification cards\n4.\n(1) The badges and insignia prescribed in the First Schedule shall be worn and\ndisplayed by Fisheries Officers whenever they are performing their duties\nas such.\n(2) The Board shall issue to each Fisheries Officer an identification card in the\nform set out in the Second Schedule, which card shall remain the property of\nthe Board. Each Fisheries Officer shall carry his identification card with him\nwhenever performing his duties as such and shall, on reasonable demand being\nmade by any person, produce such card for the inspection of that person.\n5.\nForms\n5.\nLetters of appointment of Fisheries Officers and the forms to be used in the\napplication for and granting of licences and authorisation under the Law are\nprescribed in the Third and Fourth Schedules respectively.\n6.\nFees\n6.\nFees to be charged in connection with licences and authorisation under the Law are\nprescribed in the Fifth Schedule.\n7.\nPenal\n7.\nWhoever resists or obstructs a Fisheries Officer in the discharge of any duty under\nthe Law is guilty of an offence.\n8.\nNo-diving zones\n8.\n(1) The areas described in the Sixth Schedule are designated as no-diving zones.\n(2) Scuba diving in a no-diving zone is prohibited.\n9.\nDamage to coral reef\n9.\n(1) Whoever anchors any vessel exceeding twenty feet in length or a commercial\nvessel, or allows any of such vessels to be anchored, in such a manner that\ndamage is caused to the coral by an anchor, chain or any similar contrivance,\nis guilty of an offence.\n(2) In this regulation \u2014\n\u201ccommercial vessel\u201d means a vessel which is for hire for the carriage of\npassengers or which is carrying passengers as part of a charter or other\ncommercial
