The Grand Court Act (2015 Revision), in this Act referred to as the \u201cprincipal Act\u201d, is amended in section 2 as follows \u2014 (a) by repealing the section heading and substituting the following section heading \u2014 \u201cInterpretation\u201d; (b) by deleting the word \u201cand\u201d after the definition of \u201cJudge\u201d; (c) by deleting the full stop after the definition of \u201cRules\u201d and substituting the word \u201c; and\u201d; and (d) by inserting after the definition of the word \u201cRules\u201d, the following definition \u2014 \u201c \u201cRules Committee\u201d means the body responsible for making Rules under section 19.\u201d.\", \"element\": \"section\", \"heading\": null}, {\"eId\": \"sec_3\", \"num\": \"3.\", \"text\": \"Amendment of section 19 - Rules Committee and Rules of Court 3. The principal Act is amended in section 19 as follows \u2014 (a) by repealing subsection (1) and substituting the following subsection \u2014 \u201c(1) There shall be a Rules Committee which shall consist of \u2014 (a) the Chief Justice, who shall be the chairperson; (b) the Attorney General; and (c) not less than two and no more than five persons who are \u2014 (i) entitled to practise as legal practitioners before the Court; and (ii) appointed by the Chief Justice after consultation with the Cayman Islands Legal Practitioners Association.\u201d; and (b) by repealing subsection (2) and substituting the following subsection \u2014 \u201c(2) At a meeting of the Rules Committee a quorum shall comprise a majority of the members present, which majority shall include the Chief Justice.\u201d.
