The Public Holidays Act (2007 Revision) is amended in the Schedule as follows \u2014 (a) by repealing paragraph 6 for the purposes of the year 2022 and by reinserting the same in the year 2023; (b) by inserting as paragraph 6, which shall apply only in the year 2022, the following paragraph \u2014 \u201c6. 6th June, 2022 as the official birthday of the reigning sovereign.\u201d; and (c) by inserting after paragraph 12 the following paragraph \u2014 Paragraph 2 SL 79 of 2021 \u201c13. In the year 2022 only, for the purposes of the celebration of the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, 3rd June shall be a Public General Holiday.\u201d.
