The Police (Information and Assistance to International Law Enforcement Agencies) Regulations, 2017 are amended in regulation 2 as follows \u2014 (a) by deleting the definitions of the words \u201cbeneficial ownership information\u201d and \u201cbeneficial ownership register\u201d and substituting the following definitions \u2014 Regulation 3 Police (Information and Assistance to International Law Enforcement Agencies) (Amendment) Regulations, 2024 SL 29 of 2024 \u201c \u201cbeneficial ownership information\u201d means information maintained on a beneficial ownership register for the legal persons specified in section 3 of the Beneficial Ownership Transparency Act, 2023; and \u201cbeneficial ownership register\u201d has the meaning assigned by section 2 of the Beneficial Ownership Transparency Act, 2023;\u201d; (b) in the definition of the words \u201ccompetent authority\u201d, by deleting the words \u201csection 244 of Companies Law (2016 Revision)\u201d and substituting the words \u201csection 5 of the Beneficial Ownership Transparency Act, 2023\u201d; (c) in the definition of the words \u201cdesignated agency\u201d, by deleting the words \u201cSchedule 6 of the Companies Law (2016 Revision)\u201d and substituting the words \u201cthe Schedule of the Beneficial Ownership Transparency Act, 2023\u201d; and (d) in the definition of the words \u201cinternational law enforcement agency\u201d, by deleting the words \u201cSchedule 6 of the Companies Law (2016 Revision)\u201d and substituting the words \u201cthe Schedule of the Beneficial Ownership Transparency Act, 2023\u201d.\", \"element\": \"section\", \"heading\": null}, {\"eId\": \"sec_3\", \"num\": \"3.\", \"text\": \"Amendment of regulation 3 of the Police (Information and Assistance to International Law Enforcement Agencies) Regulations, 2017 - application 3.
