(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Supplementary Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025. The Merchant Shipping (Supplementary Fund) Regulations, 2025 are amended in regulation 2(1) as follows \u2014 (a) by deleting the definition of the words \u201cbunker oil\u201d; (b) by deleting the definition of the word \u201coil\u201d and substituting the following definition \u2014 \u201c \u201coil\u201d means persistent hydrocarbon mineral oil except in regulations 3 and 4;\u201d; Regulation 3 Merchant Shipping (Supplementary Fund) (Amendment) Regulations, SL 73 of 2025 (c) in the definition of the words \u201cpollution damage\u201d, by deleting the words \u201cor bunker oil\u201d; (d) in the definition of the words \u201crelevant threat of contamination\u201d, by deleting the words \u201c, including bunker oil,\u201d; and (e) in the definition of the word \u201cship\u201d, by inserting after the words \u201cChapter 7\u201d the words \u201cof Part 14\u201d.\", \"element\": \"section\", \"heading\": null}, {\"eId\": \"sec_3\", \"num\": \"3.\", \"text\": \"Amendment of regulation 8 of the Merchant Shipping (Supplementary Fund) Regulations, 2025 - extinguishment of claims 3.
