(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Legal Services (Savings and Transitional) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025. (2) These Regulations come into force immediately after the Legal Services (Savings and Transitional) Regulations, 2025 enter into force.\", \"element\": \"section\", \"heading\": null}, {\"eId\": \"sec_2\", \"num\": \"2.\", \"text\": \"General amendment to the Legal Services (Savings and Transitional) (Amendment) Regulations, 2025 \u2013 references to \u201ccommencement of the Act\u201d 2. The Legal Services (Savings and Transitional) Regulations, 2025 are amended as follows \u2014 (a) by deleting the words \u201cthe commencement of the Act\u201d wherever they appear and substituting the words \u201c1st January, 2026\u201d; and (b) by deleting the words \u201cthe date of commencement of the Act\u201d and substituting the words \u201c1st January, 2026\u201d. Regulation 3. Legal Services (Savings and Transitional) (Amendment) Regulations, SL 77 of 2025\", \"element\": \"section\", \"heading\": null}, {\"eId\": \"sec_3\", \"num\": \"3.\", \"text\": \"Amendment of regulation 2 of the Legal Services (Savings and Transitional) Regulations, 2025 - savings and transitional provisions 3. The Legal Services (Savings and Transitional) Regulations, 2025 is amended in regulation 2 as follows \u2014 (a) in paragraph (c) as follows \u2014 (i) in subparagraph (ii), by deleting the words \u201cof the Act); and\u201d  and substituting the words \u201cof the Act);\u201d; (ii) in subparagraph (iii), by deleting the words \u201cor disciplinary proceedings.\u201d and substituting the words \u201cor disciplinary proceedings; and\u201d; (iii) by inserting after subparagraph (iii) the following subparagraph \u2014 \u201c(iv) without prejudice to subparagraph (iii), the requirement in sections 31(b) and (c), 33(2), 34(3)(b) and 34(3)(d)(ii) of the Act shall be satisfied if the person is in good standing on a register or its equivalent maintained by a court or other relevant body of a jurisdiction referred to in section 32(3) in which the person has been admitted to practise law.\u201d; (b) in paragraph (f), by deleting the words \u201c15th February, 2026.\u201d and substituting the words \u201c15th February, 2026; and\u201d; (c) by inserting after paragraph (f) the following paragraph \u2014 \u201c(g) section 24(3) of the Act shall not have effect for a period of six months commencing on 1st January, 2026.\u201d.
