The Cayman Islands (Legislative Assembly \u2013 Extension of Duration) Order 1971 (SI 1971 No. 2100)\", \"parties\": [], \"longTitle\": null}, \"docKind\": null}, \"bill\": null, \"judgment\": null}}","akn_full_text":"Page | of I\n\n1971\/2100 STATUTORY INSTRUMENTS\n\n1971 No. 2100\n\nCARIBBEAN AND NORTH ATLANTIC TERRITORIES\n\nThe Cayman Islands (Legislative Assembly\u2014 Extension of Duration) Order 1971\n\nMade\n22nd December 197]\nLaid before Parliament\n31st December 197]\nComing into force\n22nd January 1972\n\nAt the Court at Buckingham Palace, the 22nd day of December 1971\n\nPresent,\nThe Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council\n\nHer Majesty, by virtue and in exercise of the powers vested in Her by sections 5 and 7 of the West Indies Act\n1962(a), is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as\nfollows:\u2014\n\n1.1) This Order may be cited as the Cayman Islands (Legislative Assembly\u2014Extension of Duration) Order\n1971.\n\n(2) This Order shall be construed as one with the Cayman Islands Constitution Orders 1965 to 1971(b).\n(3) This Order shall come into operation on 22nd January 1972.\n\n2. Sub-section (2) of section 47 of the Constitution of the Cayman Islands shall have effect as if for the words\n\"three years\" there were substituted the words \"four years\".\n\nW. G.
