The Bill would also amend the Act to give power to the Cabinet to waive fees under Schedule 2 of the Development and Planning Regulations (2024 Revision). Clause 1 of the Bill provides the short title of the legislation. Clause 2 amends section 42 of the Development and Planning Act (2021 Revision) by repealing subsection (3) which currently provides that Regulations must be affirmed by the Parliament. Clause 3 amends section 53(2) of the Development and Planning Act (2021 Revision) to empower the Cabinet to waive fees both under Schedule 1 and Schedule 2 of the Development and Planning Regulations (2024 Revision).
