National Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Commencement) Order, Paragraph 1

National Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2016 NATIONAL PENSIONS (AMENDMENT) ACT, 2016 (COMMENCEMENT) ORDER, 2022 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(2) of the National Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2016, the Cabinet makes the following Order — Citation This Order may be cited as the National Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Commencement) Order, 2022. Interpretation In this Order, “principal Act” means the National Pensions Act (2012 Revision). Commencement The provisions of the National Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2016 come into force as follows — (a) the following provisions come into force on 1st January, 2023 — (i) section 11, in respect of its repeal of section 16 of the principal Act and substitution of section 16(4)(h); and (ii) section 16; (b) the following provisions come into force on 1st March, 2023 — (i) sections 4, 15, 17 and 25;

Paragraph 3 National Pensions (Amendment) Act, 2016 (Commencement) Order,

(ii) section 9(a) in respect of its repeal of section 9(2) of the principal Act and substitution of section 9(2)(a), (b), (c), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (l); and (iii) section 9(b); sections 29 and 30 come into force on 1st July, 2023; and (d) the following provisions come into force on 1st October, 2023 — (i) section 9(a) in respect of its repeal of section 9(2) of the principal Act and substitution of section 9(2)(e); (ii) section 11 in respect of its repeal of section 16 of the principal Act and substitution of section 16(4)(f); and (iii) section 50.
