Paragraph 1

Public Holidays Act (2007 Revision) In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2) of the Public Holidays Act (2007 Revision), the Cabinet makes the following Order — Citation This Order may be cited as the Public Holidays Order, 2024.

Paragraph 2

Amendment of the Schedule to the Public Holidays Act (2007 Revision) - list of Public General Holidays The Public Holidays Act (2007 Revision) is amended in the Schedule by inserting after paragraph 4 the following paragraph — “4A. The first Monday in May, to be known as Emancipation Day in commemoration of the abolition of slavery in the Cayman Islands with the reading of the Emancipation Proclamation on May 3, 1835.”.
