Private Funds Act (2021 Revision) PRIVATE FUNDS (ANNUAL RETURNS) In exercise of the powers conferred by section 31 of the Private Funds Act (2021 Revision), the Cabinet makes the following Regulations — Citation and commencement (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Private Funds (Annual Returns) (2) These Regulations come into force immediately after the Private Funds (Amendment and Validation) Act, 2024 comes into force. Amendment of regulation 2 of the Private Funds (Annual Returns) Regulations, 2021 - definitions The Private Funds (Annual Returns) Regulations, 2021 are amended in regulation 2 in the definition of the words “master unit trust structure”, by repealing paragraph (e) and substituting the following paragraph — “(e) is not licensed or registered under the Banks and Trust Companies Act (2021 Revision) or registered under the Building Societies Act (2020 Revision) or the Friendly Societies Act (1998 Revision);”.

Amendment of regulation 4 of the Private Funds (Annual Returns) Regulations, 2021 - fees The Private Funds (Annual Returns) Regulations, 2021 are amended in regulation 4 as follows — (a) by repealing the regulation heading and substituting the following regulation heading — “Fee for submission of annual return”; and (b) by deleting the words “, up to a maximum of twenty-five alternative investment vehicles or sub-funds or both”.
