ENACTED by the Legislature of the Cayman Islands. Short title This Law may be cited as the Export Duty Law (1998 Revision). Duties to be raised, levied, etc., upon goods exported from the Islands There shall be charged, collected and paid to Customs for the use of the Government upon the goods specified in the Schedule which are exported from the Islands, duty at the rate specified therein and the duty shall become due at the time of exportation and be levied, recovered and received by Customs under the powers of the Customs Law (1998 Revision), and shall be paid over to the Treasurer at the same time and in the same manner as other customs duties. Rights, duties, etc., conferred upon Governor, etc. All the rights, duties, powers, remedies and immunities by any law of the Islands conferred upon the Governor and officers of Customs for the collection and enforcement of duties of Customs are conferred upon him and them respectively for or in respect of the duty by this Law imposed.
