Arrangement of Regulations Regulation General Publication Fees Patents and Trade Marks Fees Heading Regulation 1 General Citation These Regulations may be cited as the Official Gazette Regulations (1995 Revision). Definitions In these Regulations — “editor” means the editor of the Gazette; “Gazette” means the Cayman Gazette established by section 3; “Law” means the Official Gazette Law [Law 26 of 1974]; “printer” means the person appointed by the Governor to print the Gazette; and “section” means a section of the Law. Editor The Gazette shall be edited by a public officer as defined in the Public Service Commission Law (1995 Revision) appointed by the Governor from time to time by Notice published in the Gazette. Regulation 4 Printer The Gazette shall be printed by a person appointed by the Governor from time to time by Notice published in the Gazette. Free circulation There shall be a free circulation of the Gazette and all Supplements thereto, at such times as the Governor, acting in his discretion, may, from time to time, determine. Price of Gazette Copies of the Gazette and of Supplements may be obtained from the printer by members of the public on payment of $1.30 for each Gazette and 52 cents for each Supplement plus 20 cents for every page by which such Supplement exceeds four pages. Annual subscription Gazettes and Supplements may be subscribed for by members of the public annually beginning on the 1st day of January in any year, or pro rata, on payment of twentysix dollars in respect of Gazettes and one hundred and ninety-five dollars in respect of Supplements, which Gazettes and Supplements will be sent to subscribers post free in any part of the world by air mail to foreign subscribers. Publication Fees General fees The charge to the public for announcements in the Gazette otherwise than under the Patents and Trade Marks Law (1995 Revision) is ten dollars per single column/inch. Fees for patents and trade marks (1) The charges for publication in the Gazette of the recording of the extension of a United Kingdom patent and trade mark right to the Islands are prescribed in the First Schedule. (2) The charge for publication under subregulation (1) includes publication preceded by the general heading, for which no charge is raised, set out in the Patents and Trade Marks Patent and trade mark extensions

One copy of the relevant Gazette in respect of each patent or trade mark publication will be sent post free by air mail to the proprietor or first-named proprietor of the recorded right, or to his named agent.
