Regulation 1

PREVENTION, CONTROL AND SUPPRESSION OF COVID-19 (PARTIAL LIFTING OF RESTRICTIONS) (TRAVEL AND BOATING) (NO. 4) REGULATIONS, 2020 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34 of the Public Health Law (2002 Revision) the Cabinet makes the following Regulations — Citation and commencement (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Prevention, Control and Suppression of Covid-19 (Partial Lifting of Restrictions) (Travel and Boating) (No.4) Regulations, 2020. (2) These Regulations come into force on 25th August, 2020. Definitions In these Regulations, “waters” means the waters of the territorial seas of the Islands. Travel between the Islands (1) Subject to this regulation, any person may travel between the Islands by air transport or boat.

Regulation 4

(2) A person who wishes to travel between the Islands shall be permitted to travel without being tested for the virus where the person — (a) has been in the Islands for at least fourteen days prior to the date of travel; and (b) is not showing any respiratory symptoms or symptoms of the virus. (3) A person who wishes to travel between the Islands and who has not been in the Islands for at least fourteen days prior to the date of travel shall — (a) not less than forty-eight hours prior to travelling — (i) seek the approval of the Chief Officer of the Ministry of International Trade, Investment, Aviation and Maritime Affairs to travel; and (ii) be tested for the virus; and (b) only be permitted to travel after such test has been declared to be negative by the Medical Officer of Health. (4) A person who contravenes paragraph (2) or (3) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for six months. Conditions for use of boat (1) Subject to this regulation a person may use a boat in the waters subject to the condition that the operator of the boat shall ensure that the boat only has on board at any time no more than two hundred and fifty persons or its legal capacity, whichever is lesser. (2) No person shall operate or manoeuvre a boat so as to congregate or gather with any other person on any other boat or vessel where the number of persons gathering exceeds two hundred and fifty persons. (3) A person who contravenes paragraph (1) or (2) commits an offence and is liable on conviction to a fine of one thousand dollars and to imprisonment for six months. Repeal of the Prevention, Control and Suppression of Covid-19 (Partial Lifting of Restrictions) (Travel and Boating) (No.3) Regulations, 2020 The Prevention, Control and Suppression of Covid-19 (Partial Lifting of Restrictions) (Travel and Boating) (No.3) Regulations, 2020 are repealed.

Regulation 6

Expiry These Regulations shall continue in force until 30th September, 2020 or until such later date as the Cabinet may specify by notice in the Gazette, in any other official Government website or official means of communication.
