The Insurance (Reduction of Fees) Regulations, 1981. (Price 40 cents). A9 | NOTICES RULES GOVERNING USE OF GOVERNMENT-OWNED TOWN AND COMMUNITY HALLS ON GRAND CAYMAN 1. Responsibility for the control and management of all town and community halls (hereinafter referred to as “‘halls’” is vested in the Principal Secretary of the Portfolio of Communications and Works (hereinafter referred to as ‘Principal Secretary”’).

The Principal Secretary may employ caretakers and other persons in carrying out his responsibilities under these Rules and may, in his discretion, delegate any part of those functions to such caretakers or other persons. ,

The use of a hall by the same person on more than four consecutive days shall not be permitted except with the express authority of the Principal Secretary. -

Any person wishing to use a hall shall apply to the Principal Secretary on the appropriate form and shall produce a Treasury receipt or receipts showing the deposit (if any) payable under rule 6 and the fees payable under Part I of the Schedule to have been duly paid.

In the case of more than one application being made for the use at any particular time of a hall, priority shall be accorded to the application first received.

A deposit of $50 shall be made in respect of each use of a hall. The Principal Secretary may apply all or any part of that sum towards the cost of making good any damage to the hall or any furniture or other thing in or about the hall resulting from the use to which the deposit relates. Any deposit, or part thereof, not so applied shall be repaid to the depositor. This rule shall not apply to the Government and the Principal Secretary may waive its requirements in any case of any use when a bond satisfactory to him has been entered into securing an amount of at least $50 towards the costs of making good any damage arising out of that use. _7, Any person using a hall shall leave it as he finds it. In particular, no alteration to a hall or anything in or about it may be made without the express permission of the Principal Secretary and furniture, fittings or other things being the property of the Government may not be removed for any are hereby revoked.
