Paragraph 1

The Governor, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 9(2) of the Liquor Licensing Law (2000 Revision), makes the following order — Citation This order may be cited as the Liquor Licensing (Lifting of Moratorium) (Package and Retail Licences) Order, 2010. Lifting of moratorium - package and retail licences (1) Subject to subparagraph (3), the Liquor Licensing Board may grant new package licences and new retail licences in the Islands, from the date of publication of this order in the Gazette until the expiration of a period of two months from that date; and, upon the expiration of that period, the Board shall not grant any new package licence or new retail licence in the Islands until such date as may be appointed by order of the Governor pursuant to section 9(2) of the Law. (2) For the purposes of subparagraph (1), the Liquor Licensing Board shall consider all applications for the grant of new package licences and new retail licences, received by the Board between 17th November, 2010 and 16th January, 2011 (inclusive).
