Regulation Application to Register a Cooperative Society

Regulation 1

Citation These Regulations may be cited as the Cooperative Societies Regulations (1997 Revision). Application for registration Application for registration of a cooperative society shall be made to the Registrar in the form prescribed in the Schedule. Annual return Annual returns shall be made to the Registrar by every registered society in the calendar year following the year of its first registration and thereafter in each calendar year. Information in annual return The annual return shall provide the following information — (a) the registered address of the society, if change thereof has been made since registration or the last return; (b) the names and designations of the officers of the society; the names of the members of the society, and the number of shares held by each; (d) details of charges entered into by the society and still outstanding; and (e) a balance sheet from date of registration or of the last return, as the case may be, supported by accounts complying with the Law and certified by

an independent auditor previously approved by the Registrar for that purpose. Other returns Other returns required to be made in order to comply with the Law shall be made in such form as may be approved or prescribed, from time to time, by the Registrar. Fee The registration fee required to be prescribed by section 6(4) of the Law is one hundred dollars.

COOPERATIVE SOCIETIES LAW (1997 Revision) (Section 6) Application to Register a Cooperative Society To the Registrar of Cooperative Societies- We, the undersigned, being ten members and the secretary of a society hereby apply for the registration of that society as a cooperative society under the above Law under the each of which are signed at the end thereof by each of us. The said Rules comply fully with the provisions of the Cooperative Societies Law (1997 Revision).
