Regulation 1

LEGAL SERVICES (FEES) REGULATIONS, In exercise of the powers conferred by section 99 of the Legal Services Act, 2020, the Cabinet makes the following Regulations — Citation and commencement (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Legal Services (Fees) Regulations, 2025. (2) These Regulations come into force on 1st January, 2026. Practising certificate fees The practising certificate fee under section 49(2) of the Act shall be as specified in Annual operational licence fees The annual operational licence fee under section 64(3) of the Act shall be as specified in Schedule 2.

Regulation 4

Fees The fees payable in respect of each item listed in the second column of the table in Schedule 3 shall be as specified in the third column of the table.

(Regulation 2) Practising Certificate Fee

Description of practice Fee

A sole practitioner $1,000.00 for each

In house counsel $2,500.00 for each A law firm that employs 1 - 15 attorneys-at-law and does not have an affiliate. $1,000.00 for each A law firm that employs more than 15 attorneys-atlaw and does not have an affiliate. $2,000.00 for each A law firm that has an affiliate —

(a) for each practising authorising the practice of Cayman Islands law — (i) in the Islands; or (ii) in another jurisdiction by a person who is Caymanian or holds a Residency and Employment Rights $2,500.00

(b) for each practising authorising the practice of Cayman Islands law in another jurisdiction by a person who is not Caymanian or does not hold a Residency and Employment Rights Certificate. $7,500.00

(Regulation 3) Annual Operational Licence Fee

Number of attorneys-at-law employed by law firm and any affiliate Fee 1-10 attorneys-at-law Nil 11 - 15 attorneys-at-law $50,000.00 16 - 20 attorneys-at-law $75,000.00 21 - 25 attorneys-at-law $200,000.00 26 - 30 attorneys-at-law $250,000.00 31 - 40 attorneys-at-law $300.000.00 41 - 50 attorneys-at-law $350,000.00 51 - 60 attorneys-at-law $400,000.00 61 - 70 attorneys-at-law $500,000.00 71 - 80 attorneys-at-law $600,000.00 81 - 90 attorneys-at-law $700,000.00 91 - 100 attorneys-at-law $800,000.00 101 - 110 attorneys-at-law $900,000.00 111 or more attorneys-at-law $1,200,000.00

(Regulation 4) Fees

34(2)(c) $10,000.00 Application fee for admission for a specified suit or matter.

35(6) $4,000.00 Fee for application for keeping name on the Roll. 44(3)(b)

$50.00 Application fee for recognition as a recognised law entity

53(2) $2,500.00 Fee for restoration of name to the Roll.

87(4) $200.00 Fee for reinstatement (termination of suspension from practice).

88(3) $200.00

Description Section of the Act Fee Application fee for practice in the Islands of the law of another jurisdiction. 96(4) $4,000.00
