Labour Law (2011 Revision) LABOUR (EXTENSION OF SEVERANCE PAY PERIOD) REGULATIONS, 2020 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 85(1)(b) of the Labour Law (2011 Revision) the Cabinet makes the following Regulations — Citation These Regulations may be cited as the Labour (Extension of Severance Pay Period) Regulations, 2020.

Regulation 2

Extension of period for payment of severance pay upon temporary temination If, as a result of the COVID-19 virus, an employer temporarily terminates the employment of any employee entitled to severance pay, the period under section 42(2) or (3) of the Law within which that employer is required to pay severance pay to that employee shall be extended by thirty days.
