Immigration Law IMMIGRATION (LANDING OF PERSONS) DIRECTIONS, 2014 (SL 66 of 2014) In exercise of the powers conferred by section 100 of the Immigration Law (2014 Revision), the Cabinet issues the following policy directions to the Chief Immigration Officer for his guidance in the exercise of his powers, functions and duties under section 67 of that Law —
#1. Citation
#1. These Directions may be cited as the Immigration (Landing of Persons)
Directions, 2014.
#2. Visitor shall be allowed to enter and remain in the Islands for six months
#2. An Immigration Officer shall grant to a person who is not a prohibited immigrant,
permission to land and remain in the Islands as a visitor for six months where the person can demonstrate — (a) that he owns a home in the Cayman Islands in which he will reside for the duration of his stay; and (b) that he is able to support himself and any other person accompanying him for the duration of the stay without the need to engage in gainful occupation, but where the person is unable to satisfy these requirements he shall be processed in accordance with normal visitor requirements.
