KIM BULLINGS Clerk of Cabinet Departmental Notice THE IMMIGRATION LAW (2015 REVISION) GROUP COMPANIES DIRECTIONS, 2016 In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 44(1), 50(b) and 100 of the Immigration Law (2015 Revision) the Cabinet issues the following general directions to the Work Permit Board, the Business Staffing Board, the Chief Immigration Officer or the Director of Workforce Opportunities and Residency Cayman for their guidance in the exercise of their respective powers, duties and functions under the Law –

#1. These Directions may be cited as the Group Companies Directions, 2016.

#2. In cases where an employer is a company which is a member of a group of companie…

In cases where an employer is a company which is a member of a group of companies and there is, or will be, a change in the structure of the group, the Work Permit Board, the Business Staffing Board, the Chief Immigration Officer or the Director of Workforce Opportunities and Residency Opportunities may permit the relevant employer to transfer of its existing Business Staffing Plan and worker permits to the company that will take its place in the structure; provided that the recipient company is duly licensed under the laws of the Cayman Islands to carry on the relevant business activities, and subject to the payment of relevant fees for the variation of work permits as set out in the Immigration Regulations (2018 Revision).
