Trade and Business Licensing Law TRADE AND BUSINESS LICENSING DIRECTIONS, 2016 (SL 15 of 2016) In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Trade and Business Licensing Law, 2014 [Law 21 of 2014], the Cabinet, after consultation with the Trade and Business Licensing Board, gives the following Directions as to the policy to be followed by the Board in the performance of its functions under the Law —

#1. Citation

#1. These Directions may be cited as the Trade and Business Licensing

Directions, 2016.

#2. Licence not required

#2. (1) Subject to subparagraph (2), a licence is not required in respect of the owner of

up to two units of property, not including the residence of the owner, in order for the owner to enter into rental or lease arrangements with respect to the units of property.

(2) For the purposes of these Directions, “owner” includes the beneficial owner.
