Traffic Law, 2011 (Law 26 of 2011) TRAFFIC (PUBLIC PASSENGER VEHICLES) (PERMIT EXEMPTIONS) ORDER, 2020 In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 52 and 142A of the Traffic Law, 2011 the Cabinet makes the following Order — Citation This Order may be cited as the Traffic (Public Passenger Vehicles) (Permit Exemptions) Order, 2020. Exemption from conditions under regulation 4 of the Traffic (Public Passenger Vehicles) Regulations (2020 Revision) (1) An applicant for a permit under section 47 of the Law is exempt from compliance with the condition to have undergone a medical examination in accordance with regulation 4(2)(g) of the Traffic (Public Passenger Vehicles) Regulations (2020 Revision) from 1st March, 2020 to 31st August, 2021. (2) Notwithstanding subparagraph (1), a person — (a) who on 1st March, 2020 held a valid permit issued by the Board in accordance with section 47 of the Law; and (b) whose permit expired after 1st March, 2020 but prior to the date of publication of this Order,
Paragraph 2
is exempt from compliance with regulation 4(2) of the Traffic (Public Passenger Vehicles) Regulations (2020 Revision) and is deemed to hold a valid permit from 1st March, 2020 until such time as the permit is renewed after the publication of this Order, provided that an application to renew the permit is submitted to the Board by 30th September, 2020. (3) If, by 30th September, 2020, an application referred to in subparagraph (2) to renew the permit has not been received by the Board, the permit shall be deemed to have expired on that date.
