TRAFFIC (SPEED LIMITS IN GRAND CAYMAN) REGULATIONS, 2016 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111(a) of the Traffic Law, 2011 [Law 26 of 2011], the Cabinet makes the following Regulations — Citation and commencement (1) These Regulations may be cited as the Traffic (Speed Limits in Grand Cayman) Regulations, 2016. (2) These Regulations shall come into force on 7th March, 2016. Interpretation In these Regulations — “grid” means the Cayman National Grid prepared and kept by the Lands and Survey Department; and “grid reference” means a reference point on the grid. Speed limits (1) The following speed limits are established for the roads and portions of roads in Grand Cayman set out in subsections (2) to (6). (2) A maximum speed limit of twenty-five miles per hour is prescribed for the following named parts of public roads in Grand Cayman —
