A LAW TO AMEND THE PUBLIC HEALTH LAW (2002 REVISION) TO INCREASE THE PENALTY APPLICABLE WHERE AN OFFENCE IS COMMITTED FOR WHICH A SPECIFIC PENALTY HAS NOT BEEN PROVIDED IN THE LAW; AND FOR INCIDENTAL AND CONNECTED PURPOSES ENACTED by the Legislature of the Cayman Islands. Short title This Law may be cited as the Public Health (Amendment) Law, 2020.

Amendment of section 71 of the Public Health Law (2002 Revision) - penalties The Public Health Law (2002 Revision) is amended by repealing section 71(2) and substituting the following subsection — “(2) Whoever commits an offence for which no specific penalty is provided under this Law is liable on conviction to a fine of ten thousand dollars and to imprisonment for two years and, in the case of a continuing offence, to a further fine of five hundred dollars for every day on which the offence continues after conviction.”.
