Health Practice Act (2021 Revision) HEALTH PRACTICE (AMENDMENT OF SCHEDULES 1 AND 3) ORDER, 2025 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 39 of the Health Practice Act (2021 Revision), the Cabinet makes the following Order — Citation This Order may be cited as the Health Practice (Amendment of Schedules 1 and 3) Order, 2025. Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Health Practice Act (2021 Revision) - Health Practice Commission The Health Practice Act (2021 Revision) is amended in Schedule 1, in paragraph 1, as follows — (a) in subparagraph (1), by repealing sub-subparagraph (b) and substituting the following sub-subparagraph — “(b) an attorney-at-law entitled to practise in the Islands;” ; and (b) in subparagraph (7) as follows — (i) in sub-subparagraph (c), by deleting the word “or” appearing at the end of that sub-subparagraph; (ii) in sub-subparagraph (d), by deleting the full stop appearing at the end of that sub-subparagraph and substituting the words “; or”; and

(iii) by inserting after sub-subparagraph (d) the following subsubparagraph — “(e) it is within the public interest to do so.”. Amendment of Schedule 3 to the Health Practice Act (2021 Revision) - constitution and general proceedings, etc. of the Councils The Health Practice Act (2021 Revision) is amended in Schedule 3 as follows — (a) in paragraph 1(2) by repealing sub-subparagraph (a) and substituting the following sub-subparagraph — “(a) at least three members shall be registered practitioners in the principal list of any of the Councils;”; and (b) in paragraph 2, by inserting after subparagraph (4) the following subparagraph — “(4A)Notwithstanding subparagraph (4), the Cabinet may terminate a person’s appointment as member of a Council if the Cabinet is satisfied that it is within the public interest to do so.”.
