The Companies Law (2013 Revision) The Companies Law (2013 Revision) was published as Supplement No. 6 with Extraordinary Gazette No. 82 (a) By Law 6 of 2012 which was published as Supplement No. 6 with Extraordinary Gazette No. 4 dated 10th January, 2013, the Companies Law (2011 Revision) was amended in section 19, inter alia, by increasing the fine for a contravention from two hundred dollars to five thousand dollars. (b) By Law 1 of 2013 which was published as Supplement No. 1 with Extraordinary Gazette No. 8 dated 18th January, 2013, the Companies Law (2012 Revision) was amended- (i) in section 30(2)(c) by deleting the words “, “trust” or” and substituting the word “or”; and (ii) in section 30(2)(c) by deleting the words “of such words” and substituting the words “of such four words”. Extraordinary No.83/2013 27 Friday, 18 October 2013 None of the amendments at (a) or (b) above is reflected in the Companies Law (2013 Revision) and accordingly subscribers are requested to amend their copies of the Companies Law (2013 Revision).

The Elections Law (2013 Revision) The Elections Law (2013 Revision) was published as Supplement No. 9 with Extraordinary Gazette No. 82 Incorporated into that Supplement are the contents of Law 17 of 2013 but the reference to that Law was inadvertently omitted from pages 1 and 2. Accordingly, subscribers are requested to amend the chronology of their copies of the Elections Law (2013 Revision) as follows- (a) on page 1 insert after “34 of 2012”, “17 of 2013”; and (b) on page 2 insert after the words “Law 34 of 2012 – 10th December, 2012” the words “Law 17 of 2013 – 25th March, 2013”.

The Judicature Law (2013 Revision) The Judicature Law (2013 Revision) was published as Supplement No. 11 with Extraordinary Gazette No. 82 By Law 27 of 2003, which was published as Supplement No. 10 with Gazette No. 2 dated 27th January, 2004, the Judicature Law (2002 Revision) was amended, inter alia, in section 30(1) to insert after the words “Grand Court” the words “or a summary court” but inadvertently this amendment is not reflected in any of the subsequent Revisions of the Judicature Law. Subscribers are requested to amend their copies of the Judicature Law (2013 Revision), accordingly.

The Mutual Funds (Fees) Regulations (2013 Revision) The Mutual Funds (Fees) Regulations (2013 Revision) were published as Supplement No. 17 with Extraordinary Gazette No. 82 dated 11th October, 2013. Errors appear in the chronology at page 2 requiring the last three lines to be deleted and substituted with the following- “(Fees) (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2012 made the 15th January, 2013 and the Mutual Funds (Fees)(Amendment) (No. 3) Regulations, 2012 made the 12th December, 2012.”. Subscribers are requested to amend their copies of the Mutual Funds (Fees) Regulations (2013 Revision), accordingly.

The Partnership Law (2013 Revision) The Partnership Law (2013 Revision) was published as Supplement No. 18 with Extraordinary Gazette No. 82 Subsection (2A) of section 27 is incorrectly positioned and should be transposed to become subsection (2A) of section 28, instead. Subscribers are requested to amend their copies of the Partnership Law (2013 Revision), accordingly.
