Citation Amendment of regulation 8 of the Health Insurance Regulations (2013

Revision) - claims Amendment of regulation 9 - payment of claims Repeal of Schedule 2 - claim form for a compulsorily insured person

THE HEALTH INSURANCE LAW (2013 REVISION)

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Health Insurance Law (2013 Revision), the Cabinet makes the following Regulations - These Regulations may be cited as the Health Insurance (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations, 2016. The Health Insurance Regulations (2013 Revision), in these Regulations referred to as the “principal Regulations”, are amended in regulation 8(1)(a) by deleting the words “in the Form in Schedule 2” and substituting the words “in a form published from time to time by the American Medical Association”. The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 9(2) as follows - (a) by deleting the words “The claim forms” and substituting the words “The claim form”; and (b) by deleting the words “a HCFA 1500 or UB 92 form” and substituting the words “a form introduced and published by the Centres for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and the National Uniform Billing Committee”. The principal Regulations are amended by repealing Schedule 2.

These Regulations were approved by the Legislative Assembly on the 24th day of October, 2016, by Government Motion No. 3 of 2016/2017, in compliance with section 25 of the Health Insurance Law (2013 Revision).
