CENSUS (CAYMAN ISLANDS) (AMENDMENT) In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 of the Statistics Act (2016 Revision), the Cabinet makes the following Regulations — Citation These Regulations may be cited as the Census (Cayman Islands) (Amendment) Amendment of the Census (Cayman Islands) Regulations, 2010 – amendment of citation The Census (Cayman Islands) Regulations, 2010, in these Regulations referred to as the “principal Regulations”, are amended in the short title by deleting the words Amendment of regulation 2 – definitions The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 2 as follows — (a) in the definition of “Census Day”, by deleting the words “10th October, 2010” and substituting the words “10th October, 2021”;

(b) in the definition of “census information”, by deleting the words “Census (Cayman Islands) Order, 2010” and substituting the words “Census Order, by deleting the definition of “census forms” and substituting the following definition — “ “census forms” means written or electronic forms issued by the Director of the Economics and Statistics Office”; and (d) by inserting the following definitions in their appropriate alphabetical sequence — “ “electronic” means having electrical, magnetic, optical, electromagnetic, or similar capabilities, whether digital, analogue or otherwise; and “questionnaire” includes a questionnaire in electronic form;”. Amendment of regulation 7 – duties of Census Manager The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 7(i) by deleting the words “Census Report for the Cayman Islands 2010” and substituting the words “Census Report for the Cayman Islands 2021”. Amendment of regulation 11 – duty to give information with respect to oneself The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 11(2) by deleting the words “one thousand” and substituting the words “five thousand”. Amendment of regulation 12 – duty of responsible adult or person in charge The principal Regulations are amended in regulation 12(4) by deleting the words “one thousand” and substituting the words “five thousand”.
