Regulation 1

National Honours and Awards Law, 2010 (Law 20 of 2010) NATIONAL HONOURS AND AWARDS REGULATIONS, 2020 In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6A, 8 and 10 of the National Honours and Awards Law, 2010 the Cabinet makes the following Regulations — Citation These Regulations may be cited as the National Honours and Awards Regulations, Nomination for a Cayman Islands Honour (1) A person or organisation that wishes to submit a nomination for admission to any level of the Order shall submit a nomination to the Secretary of the Order in the form and manner set out in the Schedule. (2) A person or organisation shall submit a nomination under paragraph (1) — (a) in respect of the first investiture ceremony to take place in 2021, on or before the 27th November, 2020; and (b) in respect of any subsequent investiture ceremony, within the timeframe specified by Cabinet by notice published in the Gazette, in any official Government website or official means of communication or any other government media.

Regulation 3

Prescribed medals and insignia For the purposes of section 8(1) of the Law — (a) the prescribed letters to be placed after the name of a recipient of an award under section 8(1)(b) of the Law are as follows — (i) Order of Chivalry – Companion (CCI); (ii) Order of Chivalry – Officer (OCI); and (iii) Order of Chivalry – Member (MCI); and (b) the prescribed medal and insignia that a recipient is entitled to receive and to wear as a decoration under section 8(1)(c) of the Law are as set out in the nomination form in the Schedule.
